What kind of music should I expect?
On our Sunday morning services, the worship team will lead us in more modern songs that are fresh in sound, but lyrically deep. Some might call this “contemporary,” but we do not limit ourselves to songs written in the past 20 years. We will occasionally reach back into history and pull out a hymn as well. Our goal is for the music to be both pleasing to the ears and rich in content, leading us to sing to the Lord with all our heart.
Should I dress a certain way?
We tend to tell people to come as you are. At our church, you will find people who both dress up formally (coat and tie) and dress ultra casual (shorts and tee shirt, sports jerseys). We have a wonderful mix of both.
What style of teaching do you have?
Central to our gathering is praying and the preaching and teaching of God’s Word. We have different teachers with multiple teaching styles. No matter who teaches, we usually walk through books of the Bible over the course of several weeks. However, there are times we take a break and from preaching books and instead pick certain topics. Here is an an example of some multi-month studies we have done in the past:
- The Bible and Money
- Learning How to Lament
